I was born and raised in the city of San Francisco during the 1960s. I remember going to civil rights protests as a kid, motivated by the movement and excited to learn, train and fight for economic justice! In this fight, which has endured for more than 500 years, I’ve realized the value of entrepreneurship as a shield to lessen the blows of structural and systemic racism that hinder our capacity to achieve true economic justice.
By designing and developing ecosystems that bypass systemic and structural barriers, I help black entrepreneurs participate more equitably in their local economies, creating living wage jobs, building business assets and reinvesting in their communities.
Othello is a blog that explores the journey of Black Entrepreneurs as they navigate the capitalist industrial complex. The blog is a resource for entrepreneurs to build their capacities at every stage of development in the fight for economic justice!
